WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - February 11, 2020 - J.Rene Coffee Roasters, a West Hartford staple since 2006, invites the public to celebrate the grand opening of their new shop at 58 LaSalle Road in West Hartford on March 5, 2020 at 2:00 pm.
In collaboration with Cookshop Plus (60 LaSalle Road), J.Rene Coffee Roasters will provide the West Hartford Center community with a specialty coffee bar featuring espresso beverages, artisan coffee, and pastries. The partnership allows the two small businesses to share a space on LaSalle Road while providing customers with exceptional coffee beverages and complementary products such as pour-over brewers, espresso machines, and cupware.
The grand opening event will feature a ribbon cutting with the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce, a blessing from religious leaders, and the opportunity to meet with the shop’s team.
“We are thrilled to continue sharing our love for specialty coffee with the West Hartford community in this new location,” Jose Rene Martinez, owner and roaster at J.Rene Coffee Roasters said. “As with our Park Road cafe, this new shop in collaboration with Cookshop Plus will serve as a gathering place for West Hartford residents, whether they’re dropping in for their morning coffee before commuting to work or meeting up with old friends over a latte.”
In 2019, J.Rene Coffee Roasters received the Connecticut Minority-Owned Business of the Year award from the U.S. Small Business Administration and was voted Best Coffee in West Hartford by residents as part of the 2019 Best of West Hartford awards. Additionally, Jose Rene Martinez was a finalist in the 2019 United States Roasting Championship. This expansion serves as a testament to the shop’s dedication to the local community and specialty coffee industry as a whole.
